Why did you pick this product vs others?:We needed a ramp that was high enough for a high bed but not too long because the room is small. We have been pleased with this selection. It fits into the room well. It is high enough for a 27" high bed. Our 15 yo Cavachon learned to use it quickly and she doesn't like to use stairs at all! She weighs15 lbs and we used treats to bribe her up and down the ramp. She mastered it in less than 3 days. This ramp is sturdy enough and not wobbly. I feel the wood could have been finished better but that is a minor complaint and we can easily remedy it if necessary.
This dog ramp is excellent for larger dogs! My 100-pound dog had no trouble using it, and it worked perfectly. Keep in mind that it’s quite large, so make sure you have enough space for it. The build quality is impressive, and the added carpet provides great grip to help dogs feel secure while walking up. For extra stability, we placed a 40-pound weight at the base, though the included rope for securing it under the bed is a helpful feature. Overall, a well-designed and reliable ramp!
Our furbaby is 14 and hips/legs no longer can hold her to jump in or out of bed. Tried this ramp and she took to it right away. Trained her with beef jerky pieces. It only took 2 times and she started using it by herself. Wished I would have purchased this a long time ago as she hates being picked up. We did use an extra bungie cord to keep it stable against bed. Would suggest hard rubber grips where the wooden steps are. It would make it easier to climb. Thank you!
This is an excellent ramp for our two 12 lb. Morkies. Our bed is very tall so this makes it easy for them to get on it. The rails are flimsy, so it could be an issue with bigger pets. Easy to fold and adjust. It was a bit slippery so we added a piece of carpet.
I bought this for my cat that suddenly became disabled after a stroke and it seems to be working good. The height of my bed is very high and she insists on being in the bed, so I like that it is adjustable! I just couldn’t find stairs high enough where she could get up AND down safely. The only thing is with the side rails… she fell right through them and it was horrible. So I had to modify the sides and pad them with a sheet I pulled taut and a stretchy fabric over it. It doesn’t look aesthetically appealing like the picture anymore, but I lowered the angle and the padding is working good! The other thing I like is that it’s carpeted, so it’s not slippery and my cat can dig her claws in. I’ve tried a lot of products and so far this one has worked the best!
